WHERE PIGS FLY IS A RESCUE SANCTUARY DEDICATED TO THE SHELTER AND CARE OF FARMED ANIMALS IN NEED. LOCATED IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA. WE ARE A NON-PROFIT, REGISTERED CHARITY.

Our Mission

Driven by a simple philosophy that all animals should be treated with compassion and respect, our mission is two-fold. At the core is our hands-on work of rescuing, rehabilitating and caring for farmed animals from cruelty, abuse and neglect. We are also committed to education. We passionately believe knowledge is the power to change the way our society views and treats farmed animals.

Rescue

We rescue farmed animals from cruelty, abuse and neglect. The animals enjoy 100 acres of open pasture, receive emergency and long-

term care, enjoy human and animal companionship and are forever safe from exploitation. They are free to be themselves and live the life every farmed animal deserves – free from harm and suffering.

Educate

Visitors to the sanctuary can come face-to-face with the animals, most only know as food. Here you can give a belly rub to a pig, hug a friendly

cow or get nuzzled by sheep. You will see their individuality, their joy of life, intelligence and strong family bonds. Visitors, for the first time, get to see that farmed animals are no different to the cats and dogs that share our homes.

Inspire

Our animals are ambassadors for the millions of farmed animals who have no voice. Their unique, individual stories raise awareness of

their sentience and highlight the suffering that continues unabated in animal agricultural industries. We hope their stories will inspire change in the roles we play, and can play, in the lives of farmed animals.

Wednesday March 24 Dawn just arrived with the hero who saved her life – Taylor Booth. Here is the story of Dawn’s rescue in Taylor’s own words… “Mid morning last Saturday I was sitting on the Manning River with mum watching the water travel down at a great speed when we both spotted her about 30metres out from the river bank heading towards the Martin Bridge fast (certain death as there was no clearance underneath the bridge for her to travel through).
