Rescue date: July 2020
Before his rescue, Alan had been tied up on a chain so tight and for so long the chain had actually embedded into his neck in places. No longer wanted by his owners, Alan was left tethered alone in a paddock with nothing and no one in sight for many years. Luckily, rescuers negotiated with the owners to surrender Alan and then quickly set about finding him a safe place to live out his life. We said yes. Alan now lives a life of freedom and safety with other members of our goat team. Despite the despair and suffering he endured at the hands of humans, Alan is such a friendly, happy character. Alan need never feel fear and loneliness again. Alan is someone, not something.
