Lewis endured years of unthinkable neglect and cruelty by his owners before rescue. Found all alone in a bare paddock with no feed, Lewis was slowly dying of starvation. Immediately seized by the RSPCA and after several months at the shelter Lewis was bought to the sanctuary to continue his recovery. Immediately we started his rehabilitation through intense vetinerary care, nutritious feed and round-the-clock attention. Lewis was in such critical condition when rescued, vets were not sure if he would survive. But survive he did. He has slowly gained the strength and condition he needed and despite his horrific past, Lewis is thriving with no signs of ill health. Where Pigs Fly is his forever home and he need never worry again.
